Loose Lead Walking

Walking your dog shouldn’t feel like a battle. This practical, positive workshop is designed to help you and your dog enjoy calmer, more connected walks—whether you’re navigating busy pavements, coastal paths, or your favourite everyday routes.

Using ethical training methods, we focus on teaching your dog how to walk comfortably beside you without pulling, lunging, or constantly switching direction. You’ll learn clear, simple techniques that build attention, reduce frustration, and make your walks smoother and more enjoyable.

What’s included:

  • Why pulling happens and how to change the pattern

  • Practical loose‑lead exercises 

  • Timing, reinforcement, and handling distractions

  • Supportive coaching in a small, friendly group

Suitable for puppies, adolescents, and adult dogs of all breeds and experience levels, the workshops take place at a secure dog training field on the outskirts of Bude.

Recall 

A reliable recall gives your dog safe, joyful freedom. This workshop helps you build a strong, positive response so your dog chooses to come back to you—even around distractions, exciting scents, or open spaces.

Using ethical training methods, we break recall down into simple, achievable steps that strengthen your dog’s desire to stay connected with you. You’ll learn how to practise safely and build reliability in real‑life environments.

What’s covered:

  • Why recall breaks down and how to rebuild it

  • Engagement‑boosting games and exercises

  • Handling distractions without pressure or punishment

  • Strategies for everyday off‑lead adventures
